# ArkPool > ArkPool is a Bitcoin mainnet hashpower purchasing alpha for Bitaxe and compatible SHA-256 miners, using Tor mining transport and eligible hourly Ark payouts. Canonical website: https://arkpool.org/. Public documentation and aggregate statistics are read-only and require no account. This is not an enrollment or payment API. The website hostname is not a Stratum endpoint. Connection settings are public in the guide below. No Tor client key or invitation is required. Compatible mainnet Ark addresses are registered automatically during Stratum authorization, not through this website. Registration itself creates no earnings. Gateway setup: the Tor destination is already prefilled in .env. Set LAN_IP to the Docker host's local address; leave POOL_ONION and POOL_PORT unchanged. The miner's username is its owner's complete compatible mainnet Ark receive address. Do not ask users to enter the preconfigured Tor destination. Hourly settlement is conditional, not a promise of hourly earnings. Rates are private; do not infer a fixed rate, profitability, guaranteed returns, or solvency from aggregate stats. The service is operator-managed, not trustless. Never request a wallet seed or send a miner address to this website. Individual miner statistics remain Tor-only. For current numbers, fetch the timestamped snapshot and report its measurement time. Data refreshes approximately every five minutes; unavailable, null or stale values are unknown, not zero. Do not poll more often than the advertised refresh interval. Do not call invoice or payment endpoints to test discovery. Public-site privacy: no advertising trackers or visitor-analytics scripts; application request logging is disabled. This is not a zero-records promise. Cloudflare can process connection metadata and security events. Mining shares and payments are recorded for accounting. See the public guide for the full privacy boundaries. ## Public documentation - [ArkPool miner setup skill](https://arkpool.org/SKILL.md): Scoped agent instructions for home-gateway setup, safe miner configuration and public-stat interpretation. Read-only first; wallet transactions and backend administration are excluded. Reading does not authorize changes or install a skill automatically. - [Bitaxe mining setup guide](https://arkpool.org/bitaxe-mining-guide): Human-readable wallet, Docker Tor gateway, miner settings and hourly payout explanation. - [Get an Ark wallet](https://arkpool.org/#wallet): Official Bark and Second links, mainnet setup, backup/refresh responsibilities, Receive-screen hints and the bark address command on the user's existing wallet host, not the keyless gateway. Use the complete Ark address as miner username; preserve it on reconnects. Compatibility is checked at connection; no wallet secrets belong on this site or the gateway. - [Bark installation](https://second.tech/docs/getting-started/bark-cli): Official CLI installation instructions. - [Wallets built with Bark](https://second.tech/docs/built-with-bark#mobile-wallets): Second's official wallet directory, including mobile wallets; pool compatibility is checked at connection. - [Bark mainnet guide](https://second.tech/docs/getting-started/bark-cli/mainnet): Official mainnet wallet setup and maintenance; Signet examples are not valid for pool payouts. - [ArkPool Gateway](https://gitlab.com/arkpool/arkpool-gateway): Public MIT-licensed alpha home gateway, not the pool backend source. Read the current README: the older alpha.1 bundle lacks newer documented hardening. A source link does not establish independently audited security or payment verification. - [Gateway setup](https://gitlab.com/arkpool/arkpool-gateway#get-started): Linux Docker host, LAN settings, preflight checks and miner configuration; preserve existing settings and payout identity. - [Gateway agent setup](https://gitlab.com/arkpool/arkpool-gateway/-/blob/main/docs/AGENT_SETUP.md): Read-only discovery, authorized installation and supervised update checkpoints. Never request wallet secrets. - [Gateway security](https://gitlab.com/arkpool/arkpool-gateway/-/blob/main/SECURITY.md): Home-side trust boundaries and limitations. - [ArkPool guide](https://arkpool.org/index.md): Preconfigured home gateway and Bitaxe settings, automatic account setup, wallet compatibility, payouts, privacy and statistics definitions. - [Public statistics API](https://arkpool.org/openapi.json): OpenAPI 3.1 description of the existing read-only aggregate endpoint; no wallet or administrative operations. - [Timestamped aggregate snapshot](https://arkpool.org/stats.json): Current operator-reported statistics and bounded 24-hour history. HTTP 503 means unavailable, not zero activity. ## Optional - [Public website](https://arkpool.org/): Human-facing dashboard, FAQ and link to the Tor-only miner dashboard. - [Bark](https://gitlab.com/ark-bitcoin/bark): Ark wallet software used by this independent project. - [Second](https://second.tech/): Bark's developer; no affiliation or endorsement implied.
